Of the following scenarios, if you could do only one, which would you do?

1. Kick a 50 yard field goal to win the Super Bowl by 1 point as time expires in the 4th quarter.

2. Score the game winning goal in overtime of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals on home ice.

3. Hit a walk-off home run to win game 7 of the World Series at home.

4. Sink a 3-pointer buzzer beater on home court in game 7 of the NBA finals.

5. Eagle the last hole of the US Open of the PGA tour to beat Tiger Woods by one stroke and win.

6. Beat Roger Federer in the 5th and final set of the Tournament match at Wimbledon by breaking his serve.

7. Score the winning goal for your team in the World Cup when the match is played in your home country.

8. Win an olmypic gold medal and simultaneously set a world record in a sport of your choice.

Do not consider what team you would be playing for; the question is about which experience would be more personally exciting for you, not which experience you'd like to see your team have.

3. No doubt

I like hockey and football. I HATE pro basketball. I suck at tennis and golf. I have loved baseball since I was 5.

Baseball is my favorite sport, so I've got to go with the walk-off homer in the seventh game of the World Series. That Maz footage from 1960 is clearer in my mind than stuff I saw yesterday.

Field goal... followed by home run

No question nor hesitation

The more I've thought about it, the more I'm surprised to say I am tending towards the NBA buzzer beater. First, its the smallest feel of all the sports; the crowd is pretty much right on top of you. Second, there's something about the monotony of the sport in general, back and forth, back and forth, that makes the release of that buzzer-beater much more spontaneous than the other sports. All the other sports have longer procedures to create a scoring situation, but you can essentially score from anywhere at anytime in basketball. And when you hit it, its like the entire room is on top of you. The football and baseball scenarios are too impersonal. The hockey one would be close, but only with basketball do you get the benefit of the team being right their to hoist you up, yet the feeling that the hole world was on your shoulders alone and you carried it. The other sports aren't quite big enough...you wouldn't get that crowd reaction like from one of the main sports.

My first thought was baseball, too. Just think of the excitement building as you are rounding the bases and people are screaming! But, being the soccer enthusiast that I am, scoring the game-winning goal in the World Cup would be awesome!

I was thinking in terms of sports that I could see myself playing... I played baseball and football... so I have a schema as to what the whole experience would be like...

I have no frame of reference for how it would feel, holistically, to do something awesome on a basketball court... so I don't think I'd appreciate the accomplishment...

It's like someone congratulating you for sinking an underhanded half court shot... thanks, but it was luck... anyone physically capable of throwing the ball that far has as much a chance of making it as I do... I didn't "accomplish" anything through skill... I just randomly threw a ball to the right place.

I have smacked a few balls out of the park, though... so I know exactly how it feels. It would be a deliberate action that I could appreciate the praise for Smile

And I like football more than baseball, but I can't place-kick for chit.

Geeze, I'm full of nothing but hesitation. I want to say sink a putt to beat Tiger. Its in the US Open, and an eagle putt nonetheless. Its really distinct from most of the others. But golf doesn't have the team aspect. You're just your own hero.

The World Cup senario would be so huge, that it might get you assassinated. Your face would be recognized in every country except here in the USA.

The Olympic senario was very tempting. The problem is that records are broken. Now if I could score the game winning goal in Olympic hockey or hoops, that would be my answer.

Its either basketball or baseball. Those are the two scenarios I've practiced since I was a kid. Coin flip.

Replace Tiger Woods in the World of Golf and earn 1 billion dollars, dilly dally with women and get out of the driveway BEFORE my wife clubs me.

When that dude from Fox News tells me and the world that seeking out the Lord will be my salvation, I can tell him:

I am 30? years old.
I have a billion dollars.
I have a lot of property.
I can afford to do pretty much all the things I choose too.
I am pretty sure the Lord must have really liked me up to now. Laughing Laughing Laughing
