No. He should have done his research. Like the article said, buyer beware. Plus, he still owns the vacant property and $5500 for a lot is probably still a good deal.

Should he? I say yes, he should. Wash County obviously has some good "fine print" lawyers. So I really don't see him getting the full amount back. What horsechit on the part of the County. Thats the thing about government. They don't have to worry about goodwill and integrity like a private business would.

Next time read the fine print.

This person buys a lot of tax sale properties in Washington county and makes a great deal of money doing it, he knows the procedures for doing this as well as most lawyers do if he missed the notice when he did the title search, to bad.

Hmmmm.... I empathized with the guy at first. There are so many chitty stories of consumers getting screwed on loans or with insurance companies because they didn't read the fine print. Didn't Obama recently sign a "full disclosure bill" that made the lawyer speak illegal?

Anyway, sounds like this realtor could be the one trying to hose the County. I'm changing my song. He should have worked more diligently.
