I finally got the Russian Mail Order Bride email. And, it went directly to delete, did not pass go, went directly to delete.

I have had a Russian bride for over 50 years, don't send me another as no one should be entitled to such happiness twice in one lifetime. |

Cy,(a real softie) has that effect on a lot of people(except phony for some reason) but phony is real a softie too under that facade he puts out there. |

I deleted mine as well. I wonder if the OR can trace these emails? |

This is the same one "cliffnzz" sent around the other day. Cy indentified it as an active spam bot. Jozzrobin must be his cousin.

I got the same thing. What had me worried, was that my computer HAD crashed two days before...Pure coincidence...The only tip-off was putting the comma after Dear, instead of my name...
And Cy is my hero....(until he disagrees with me again...)

i regularly update virus definitions and run my own choice of anti-virus programs on all my 'puters on a regular basis. Never believe someone you don't know contacting you via the internet (like in a pop-up or email) when they say your machine is infected.
Last year i had several employees get suckered into running one of those unknown 'anti-viral' programs. It was an especially nasty one that hijacked your screen saver into displaying a false Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) and when they rebooted, they'd get a Microsoft look-alike popup that offered to run an anti-virus scan. Once they did it was hella hard to clean their machines in a timely manner.
