Holy Jeez Louise! That's HUGE news!

And for the other 99% of people who have no idea what that means... Ukrops is a grocery store in VA... My company does consulting work with them and a big media player in the market... I was always impressed with how pervasive the Ukrops brand was in the Richmond area... I would have to process the market research data and everyone (except for Brant's friend Priguy) was COMPLETELY gay for Ukrops... I mean, hell... I can tell you crap about a freakin' grocery store two states away that I've never been to... that's how much of a presence they have.

And they're going to be open on Sundays and sell alcohol. Shocked

But back to the subject of fast food, I hit the Long John Silver's recently and got my usual Fish and More dinner, but I added on a side order of shrimp. They were essentially blobs of breading with tails attached. Just horrible. I don't expect LJS to have the level of seafood I'd get in Charleston, but that was ridiculous.

You know, sad as it may be, I love their fish, with malt vinegar on it.

This is true, I ate twice at there and both times heaved, this was around 1978. Never ate there again and still get queasy when I have to go to Franklin Mall.

I don't consider LJS "seafood"... I consider it "shameful excuse to eat grease with a fish-flavored utensil" Smile

It's not like I go there regularly. It's like McDonald's or Wendy's or any of the other fast-food places. I'll hit it a couple of times a year. Speaking of foods that are bad for you, I just did a blog item about the demise of SpaghettiOs as we know them (shameless plug disclosure).

Oh...well, in that case, McDonald's Fillet-O-Fish is my poison of choice.

Love that, and the rarely observed McRib.

I used to love the McRib, until I got really sick once after eating it. It wasn't the McRib that made me sick, I had a stomach virus, but you know how association works sometimes.

I hear that LJS debuted a healthy menu. I wonder if it's any good...

Looks like some grilled tilapia or salmon and some vegetable options.
