Don't put it in the avatar slot, put it in your sig, above or below (or replacing) where your quote about drinking upstream from the herd is typed.

Well, almost...make sure those image tags are intact at either end and put it on an entirely different line from your typed quote. You should see the actual image instead of just the url when its right.
