Thank you Amphy....
and these years that I spend the holidays (mostly) alone are balanced
by the memories of all the holidays spent listening to the in-laws ranting about the kweer niggards who want to destroy our country by saving the trees and hugging the whales...
Smile for me, kid...and have a Happy Thanksgiving...!

Thxgiving was great. A good visit with the family from CA.

The only fly in the ointment was one guest who is not likely to ever be invited back. Not only did she repeatedly rebuff all attempts by other guests to engage her in conversation, she waited until a half hour before dinner to announce that she had recently become a vegetarian - don't you think it might have been polite for her to mention her recent dietary change during any of the several conversations Wes had with her after accepting our invite? Luckily, we had some falafel mix in the pantry and quickly did our best to accommodate her. Not that she showed any appreciation, mind you. When i offered her a glass of wine upon her arrival, you would have thought i was offering her poison! (And no, she's not an alcoholic or even a non-drinker - WTF?)

EVERY other guest quietly asked either Wes or me at some point, "What is up with her?" or "Is she always like that?" Well, you can't please everybody! At least all the other guests had a great time. Very Happy

Amphy--I'm glad you had a good Thanksgiving...You're way too nice trying to accommodate that woman!!! I don't think I would've! I had a good one too. We went to a friend's house for dinner on Thursday. We've been relaxing & hanging out with friends most of the weekend. This is the longest vacation I've had this year, so I was really happy to just take a break!

Ah, good old Thanksgiving. Let's see, how could you make the Thanksgiving get-together more crazy? I know, have a wedding the day after! Yep, that's where I was Friday, a wedding. Let's just say I'm glad I wasn't in the wedding party.

No tree bark in NM, or tumble weed, no well water(in the high plains, it is loaded with every mineral on earth up to and including arsenic) geezus Amp, you blew a real opportunity to help your guest here?

No but they have several sizes to pick from. It is a pretty cool place to visit. I got some cool T-shirts though-one with Ralphie with a bar of soap in his mouth-it says OH FUDGE!

Is that shirt red? Hairy guy next door was saying he was going to buy it... but it had a graphic in the bottom right that said A Christmas Story and that kinda ruined it for him... I don't know why... that's what he said
