| Most people in this country even Reps can't comprehend the US failing. We are so big and mighty and have been on top for so long you just can't imagine it. The US used to forgive other countries debt. Does any one really think China will forgive ours. Open up your eyes cause we are about to go over the falls and we can't stop it because its to late. |

We've been on top too long anyway. It was too late from the day we got complacent. It would do the people of this country some good to not be number 1 anymore. Too many people thinking and saying god has picked us as the best country in the world and sitting back on their laurels, not realizing we determine our own fate. To fall behind other countries would be a wake-up call.

I haven't heard him say that before. But I wouldn't be surprised if he believed it too. America has become the country of taking things for granted. Breaking that kind of thinking sometimes takes a major jolt, like waking up to realize you aren't in the most powerful nation in the world anymore.

Cy-sorry to cheat you out of another chance to call me a moron but you read things in my unemployment post that just were not there. I was not intimating that obama was responsible or should have fixed it already. I simply meant the numbers are bad, no matter which way one leans politically.
