I think the answer is term limits. If a member of Congress were not so worried about getting re-elected they might actually pass some meaningful legislation.
I also like the idea of no political parties but we all know that just will not happen.

Term limits would be great!

I realize that. But removing parties won't change that.

I wouldn't quite say the rich-EST... they are above average, for sure... but that is to be expected... if you have the organizational skills to put together a winning campaign at a state or national level, chances are, you can make a nut running a grocery store or a venture capital fund or write a book and sell a couple hundred thousand copies

I'm sure there is big money behind GOP candidates, too... I don't really understand what the big deal is about George Soros... he's like a boogeyman to the right for some reason...

Soros spent so much of his money trying to get liberals elected to further his own agendas. It basically didn't work for him. And I have no doubt that GOP candidates have big bucks behind them as well.

So why does that make him an evil boogeyman?

Seriously... when conservatives in the media say "George Soros" they just say his name and kinda nod... like it's supposed to mean something...

So and so got money from GEORGE SOROS... (and we all know what THAT means)...

I don't really get it...

With me I disliked him more for founding and financing Moveon.org. They spread so much deception in the 04 election and it was simply Soros trying to buy a president.

Did you feel the same about all the deception slung by the Right in that election cycle, or is it only when someone from the left copies plays out of the Republican playbook that your dislike is piqued?

I didn't actually know... I know cy catches it on "piqued my interest" but I wasn't sure if it applied here, too...

If one's ire met its apex at a certain point, it could be said to have "peaked" at that point... as in, maxed out or reached its highest point, or "peak"...

You know? Smile

Pull your claws back in amph-I do not want ANYONE trying to but an office, republican, democratic, or the terminally left handed party. And I want no deception from either side in an election. All I ever ask from friends, family, co workers, or an elected official is total honesty. With the officials i am always disappointed though.
