Vin and Gost type kickers rarely, rarely become free agents. They're just too valuable. The Steelers would most likely have to look to the draft. The free agent market will yield mostly Reed type kickers... maybe better distance wise though. But Reed knows Hienz field, and that does count for something.

As for his misses earlier this season... kickers miss once in a while. I don't put much weight into those couple missed kicks. It was early in the season. Reed has made most of the big ones, and thats all you can really ask.

The Steelers will either go to the draft, or pick up a free agent who will sign for a year or two and then look young. Either way, a young kicker will be in their future... drafted or undrafted.

Have you ever read that book... by the guy who wrote other books... it's a legal thriller... Tom...

Tom Tom Tom... maybe his name isn't Tom... anyway, it starts off about a kid who was taking an experimental drug Tarvan... and killed somebody...

Anyway, there's a character in there who reminds me of Edgar Snyder and if I could remember ANYTHING ABOUT WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, I could describe it better...

Oh, and as an FYI... the REAL brains behind snyder's success is his wife... she is the one who buys ALL his media... she's the one who got him to plaster his name all over tv back in the day. She's brilliant

Snyder is a brilliant marketing man but not a very good lawyer. He files most cases hoping to get a quick out-of-court settlement. SO I have been told by some lawyer friends.

That's how the business works... that's why he can do the whole "no fee unless we get money for you" thing... he has enough clout and is entrenched firmly enough that he can just take slam dunk cases, get a settlement and take his 40% or whatever it is...

He's not a lawyer so much as he is a settlement facilitator.

BB, the number of lawsuits filed against Pittsburgh police officers is not a reflection of their actions, but a reflection of the huge increase of scummy, lowlife people and lawyers only too willing to take their trumped-up cases.
