That's it, I quit..
The cognitive dissonance required to maintain a flawed position
has ruptured my cerebral cortex..
I'm going to go take a nap..

Wait freethinker! You forgot how those making flawed arguments so often choose to exit the debate:
Quote: | You arrogant know-it-all tingle-legged libchits! As usual you just can't defeat my logic! Bwaaaa-haaaa-haaaa! Since i'm still being attacked, i'm claiming victory and leaving you morons! | Or something along those lines. _________________ "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." ~Martin Luther King Jr.

I'm trying to objectively think of a defensible argument against gay marriage, but I can't. Ever point is blatantly illogical.
What about health care reform? Should the stability of a private business not be protected and left unthreatened? Is finding a way to make large sums of money with minimal expense not the epitome of the American dream? Why should health care be a right as opposed to an earned privilege? Why do we need extended government options when those most in need (the poor, the old, the young, the chronically infirmed) already receive government benefits via numerous programs? _________________ The end is nigh! I just heard a story from a gentleman who went to the ER for a severe cut to his hand. He has insurance through his retirement package. When he received a copy of the bill it was for $1250; the insurance company paid $100 to the hospital, which was accepted as payment in full. What of the poor schmuck without insurance? My guess the hospital would demand payment in full if that person decided he couldn't live without his hand. *sigh So many inequities in the current system. _________________ -amom

Why should we honest, hardworking taxpayers support this guy's obvious clumsiness? He should have hired a professional to cut the wood for his wood burner. Why is he trying to save money on his gas bill anyway. Those gas companies need to make a profit! Especially since they have no competition.

I would have gone with, "This is proof that insurance works if you buy it. Of course the uninsured would himself have paid nothing because he would not have been able to afford it. A quick ER trip would have sent him out the door not a penny poorer. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

That's fantastic. I'm glad you and she were able to remain friends too (I'm assuming since you are buying her a gift). Tell them a random anonymous person you met on the internet wishes them well. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

You can bargain down your bill, I did, even though I had insurance.
The doctor's billing had the wrong code for the test I had, so Medicare rejected the bill, My half azz co-pay refused to pay since they don't pay if medicare doesn't.
So I get the bill and just to be dicky. I told the hospital, I did nothing wrong go after Medicare, My co-pay, or the billing people who screwed it up in the first place.
The bill was 200+ ,can't recall, but they took $25, which I paid since the rest of the hassle was not worth my time and grief.
Had a neighbor who had no coverage and when he went to see a doc, bill was $8o , told doc he had no coverage and doc took $35.
try it. all they can do is send you to debtors prison if you can't pay, or tell them you are an illegal. |
