I was just having this conversation with a staunch, Obama-hating Republican at my job and I was making the same argument as Cy. I'd also like to add that if the polls are showing Obama's approval rating is still over 50%, that means that the people unhappy with his performance are in the minority.

They're up too. Currently 56 approval, 36 disapproval. I think people secretly liked the Nobel thing. Made em feel proud to be Americans.
