After an extraordinary amount of time, the legislature tonight finalized a state budget.

This budget plan carries no broad-based tax increases, and spends $2 billion less in state funding than last year's budget.

Let's see how this works out!!

So, clearly they were capable of achieving a budget. Why didn't they do it 100 days ago?

I blame it mostly on "Fast Eddie", but there were those on both sides of the aisle that would not let go of the pork for their district.
