We've definitely stretched our military to the breaking point. If we had stayed the course in Afghanistan and not pursued an idiotic war in Iraq, we as a country, and our service men and women, would be in much better shape today.

Yes we would probably be rid of a few more of those big unsightly buildings in major cities if we were not keeping the terrorists busy in Afghanistan

How many of our people are we willing to sacrifice, and how many hundreds of billions of dollars are we willing to spend to keep them busy in perpetuity? Just pouring thousands more troops into the country, and keeping them there for gawd knows how long, seems like a brainless solution to the problem.
