I wouldn't knowingly lie... but if you asked me if I had a heart condition, I would say no... Unless they listed everything that they count as a heart condition, I don't know what qualifies...
I had heat exhaustion when I was 7... does that count? What if I forgot about that? _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

Something about the whole thing makes me crazy. Obama surely has other more dastardly tales to tell. Why this one? Again a case os sloppy work by his researchers. |

I guess the bext example is life insurance vs. smokers. If you state on the insurance app that you are a non smoker and, after you die; no matter the cause; they can prove you DID smoke-they may not pay off, or will at least keep it tied up for years before they pay. _________________

Right... and that's an easy one... But what is the difference between a non-smoker's premium and a smoker's premium?
I haven't smoked since March 31... they ask "Have you used tobacco products in the past 12 months?"
If I say "yes" and my premium is X (let's say, 50 bucks a month more than if I was a non-smoker)... then when March 31 rolls around next year, and I am still a non smoker, can I get a 50 dollar price cut?
Now, onto a less obvious one... Let's say it's 10 years from now... they ask "Do you have a pre-existing heart condition?"
I don't remember that I was treated for Pleurisy 12 years ago... and I say "no"...
Am I screwed because I forgot about spending 4 hours in the hospital in 2007? _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

What if you quit the day before you sign the policy, and then die 3 months later from lung cancer. You didn't actually lie, you had quit! |

There's fine print somewhere that says they are allowed to bone you however they see fit if they want to. _________________ The end is nigh! OR forums die APRIL 1. Don't lose contact! Join the forums at bogsource.com now! |

That's why there should be single payer, automatic coverage... so we don't have to answer these questions... if you are alive in America, you are covered.
