Yeah, thats what I was attempting to convey. Its a joke that I first heard in 1995, that someone took and put in story form.

Wait, it was an email... it has to be true.

This is a Becktard gem in the whole kerfuffle about advocacy for the Olympics being held in Chicago:
Quote:
RHETORIC: BECK SAID VANCOUVER LOST $1 BILLION WHEN IT "HAD THE OLYMPICS." Glenn Beck said, "Vancouver lost, how much was it? they lost a billion dollars when they had the Olympics." [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: VANCOUVER'S OLYMPICS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE UNTIL 2010. Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games from February 12 - 28, 2010 and March 12-21, 2010, respectively. [Vancouver2010.com, accessed 9/29/09]

Here's another version of the joke (that includes the "blonde" reference) found online:
Quote:
Natural Born Citizen
Government class at Santa Fe , Texas High School.

In one civics class, the young adults were discussing the qualifications to be president of the United States. It is pretty simple. The candidate must be a natural born citizen and at least 35 years of age.

However, one blonde girl in the class immediately started in on how unfair the requirement to be a natural born citizen is. In short, her opinion was that this requirement prevented many capable individuals from becoming President.

The class was just taking it in and letting her rant, but everyone's jaw hit the floor when she wrapped up her argument by stating, "What makes a
natural born citizen any more qualified to lead this country than one born by C-section?"

They walk among us and they vote.

If there was more then six people posting on these boards, I wonder how many more responses the BS I posted would have gathered? 5 of the 6 did.

I only posted in response to your belief that your email was true. That conclusion came because you posted it in the News and International News section, and your response was this:

Quote:
Yep, these are the 18 year olds that just voted for the President of the United States . These are our future leaders.

I think our asses are in deep trouble

I don't give a chit if you put a topical joke in the News section.... but convey that its a joke. If you did so, I may have responded w/ a joke, a Laughing , or not responded at all.

Chicago and Tokyo are eliminated in first round voting for the site of the 2016 Olympics. Only Madrid and Rio de Janeiro remain.

Hoping that they generate a variety of responses, just to see how serious anyone is on here and to see what matters.

like Cy's contributions to the Health Care issues, wish more would post about the job situations as they pertain to our failing economy.

also to the card check thing that will allow Unions to avoid a vote and jam the Unions up our azzes. You may be in an involuntary servitude situation, not the company you work for, but the union will own our azzes.

maybe that is the plan?

I'd like to offer a perspective on the jobs situation... from the same perspective as republicans on health care:

I have a job, so no problem! Smile

Sorry, bus... I will have more time to contribute more after november 11 Smile
